NetEnt kicks off festive season with new Christmas slot

We know it’s not December yet, but it’s never too early to get in the Christmas spirit. What better way to kick off the festive season than NetEnt announcing that their very first original Christmas themed slot will be released next week!

Last year the popular game provider released Christmas editions of two existing video-slots: Fruit Shop Christmas Edition and Flowers Christmas Edition. Although it was fun to see some small changes it wasn’t exactly groundbreaking. Needless to say, everyone was were hoping for a bit more originality this year. It seems like NetEnt took a good look at this year’s wish list as they have announced to release an original Christmas slot on November 30th: Secrets of Christmas.

Although there are some discussions online about how original the slot really is (some say it’s a re-skin of Secrets of the Stones), we can say after watching the preview that it really doesn’t get more Christmassy than this. Santa’s new favorite game has 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 (fixed) bet lines. The slot has an extra gift room feature where players can choose 3, 4 or 5 gifts (depending on the amount of scatter symbols they hit in the main game) before continuing to the free spins round. The chosen gifts can give the player all sorts of extra’s such as more free spins, multipliers, and extra wild symbols.
